Meet Peninsula Wealth: Kristina Ventura
Updated: Mar 3, 2020
Peninsula Wealth was formed because our founders were dissatisfied with the way traditional firms and banks were treating clients and wanted to do better. We set out to build a team of people that were motivated to put the client first and work from a place of empathy and understanding, to really embody the Peninsula Wealth motto of Earn, Grow, and Protect. We’re lucky to have found an incredible group of people that come in each day eager to help our clients make the most of their portfolios and their lives.
Because Peninsula Wealth wouldn’t be where we are today without our team, we want to help you get to know them too. Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Ventura, our Director of Operations who has worked with Peninsula Wealth for over 8 years but has been working in financial services for 20! Kristina is an operations guru, responsible for overall office management, day-to-day operations, and administrative activities - but we’ll let her tell you a bit more about her time with Peninsula Wealth.
Tell us a little about yourself that isn't financial services based!
As a California native I grew up exploring the state with my family. I learned to love the ocean, lakes, and all the natural beauty the state has to offer. I still love all the amazing vistas we have in our backyard, and love traveling to find new ones.
How long have you been with Peninsula Wealth? What attracted you to the firm in the first place?
I have been with the firm 8 years as of June. I worked with Rahul and Tejal Shah at Merrill Lynch previously and heard they had started their own investment company. I met with them to discuss their ideas and commitment to their clients and I was sold! I joined the firm shortly afterward and have enjoyed my time here.
What question do you always get asked in regards to financial management?
It is always the same, what stock should I buy?
What advice do you have for people who are considering financial planning services?
There are many things we could do for ourselves, but often do not have the time and/or expertise. For example, I can go to the gym and work out on my own but I will most likely have much better results with a trainer. The trainer has the knowledge to help me be successful, and more importantly will hold me accountable to my goals. I think financial planning often gets pushed to the side, folks think they can address it later but using an expert can really make a difference in your long term success.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Our clients! I have met so many amazing people. I look forward to our client events when I get to see everyone and catch up.
Thanks for taking the time to share Kristina! We all love our clients at Peninsula Wealth - they make what we do worthwhile and it’s why we show up each day. If you’re interested in working with our team, just drop us a note and let us know a little about your financial goals!
